I'm so glad you found your way here and are taking the time to read a little about me – the person behind Sewstainable by Marie.

How it started

My name is Marie. My interest in sewing has been with me since I was a little girl, sewing with my mum. When I turned 25, I got my very own sewing machine, and since then, it has barely had a rest.

From recycled duvet cover to Sewstainable

Over time, I found incredibly cute recycled fabrics that I felt a strong need to rescue – and refashion into something useful. That was the start of Sewstainable by Marie, a play on words between sew and sustainable. Instead of letting beautiful materials go to waste, I repurpose them into handmade accessories – toiletry bags, laptop sleeves, book covers, and bags. Every product has a story. Every product you choose carries a new chapter.

Today

What makes me happiest is when you, as a customer, feel that your product is exactly as you dreamed – or even better. Creating something unique, just for you, is what drives me forward every day.
